DANNY J. ROONEY

Danny is the composer/lyricist and book co-writer for The Game Boy which recently won the "Metaverse Melodies" pitch contest at the 2023 Augmented World Expo in Santa Clara, CA and is gearing up for a debut concert at 54 Below in October. He is also the composer/lyricist for A Smalltowne Christmas: A New Old-Fashioned (but original!) Musical which had it's premier production at the Macklanburg Playhouse in collaboration with Stephens College, and the composer/lyricist/book writer for GLUE: A Pony Tale which was a semi-finalist for the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's National Musical Theater Conference in 2023.

 

His work has been produced in multiple industry readings and cabarets and was recently featured in Theatre Accelerator: New Realities Edition  through Apples and Oranges Arts.

 

Danny is a graduate of Syracuse University's Musical Theatre Department and now lives in Hells Kitchen in New York City.
